In a partnership with South Milwaukee Yacht Club, Youth Sailing Association and Oak Creek Community Ed. and Rec. we are offering summer sailing lessons!
Explore the possibilities of learning this awesome sport, along with making new friends as your child conquers Lake Michigan with confidence and poise.
In this 4-week course, you will learn knot tying, how to use the wind to sailors' advantage, setup and take down of a sailboat, operating a vessel on land and water, and most of all, the fun of sailing! There will be approximately 6 classroom hours and 6 hours of water instruction.
- Participants must be able to swim 25 yards and tread water for 1 minute.
- Must provide own Coast Guard approved life vest, swimsuit and towel, notebook, pen and a positive attitude.
